Disney Hotel Leads the Wristband Key Experience

Over $1 billion has been spent by the Walt Disney Co. with their newest technology, promoting this new move as their “Next Generation Experience” that will attract many customers into booking themselves for a vacation with Mickey Mouse!

The new experience is named “My Magic+” which enables customers to have a comfortable reservation system, wrist-bands with access to rides and hotel room keys, and an access to the new website and mobile phone application.

"Over the past few years, we've devoted considerable time and resources to create a more immerse, more seamless and more personal experience for each and every guest who spends time with us," said chairman of Disney’s global them-par division Tom Staggs. "This collection of tools is another step forward in the ongoing evolution of our guest experience, giving us even more ways to help friends and families create the unforgettable Disney memories that they want most."

The new “key” for the new package is in a form of a wrist band called “MagicBands” that is fully equipped of radio frequency identification inside, eliminating paper tickets and enabling customers to have the ease of access within parks, hotel rooms, buying food and souvenirs in the resort.

These access wrist bands also come in stylish different colors and allow users to have an access around the park with its sensors. It is also the means to verify “FastPass+” which is one of the features in Disney world – a ticket to the attraction sites.

Although this bands are a great lead to the hotel and park world, this will only be offered to a limited number of guests first, in hopes that this move will increase Disney’s occupancy.

Slowly but surely, various features will be rolled out one by one to make the adjustments clean. As of now, keyless hotel-room doors and interactive ride queues are already available.
